Mary Torgerson, Chief Operations Officer

As Chief Operations Officer (COO) at Ubiquity, Mary Torgerson oversees seven of the company’s core focus areas, including overall business growth, financial operations, compliance, product development, business analytics, client servicing and Paradigm RKS™. Mary was promoted from VP of Sales to COO and helped lead the company in the transition from their legacy software system to Paradigm RKS™ in the spring of 2016. Mary leverages her institutional knowledge as one of our longest-tenured team members, and a veteran of the software industry, to take Ubiquity to the next level. Mary obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree from Lakeland College.

Andrew Meadows, SVP of HR, Brand, + Culture

Andrew Meadows brings over two decades of experience in the retirement savings space to his role as SVP of HR, Brand, + Culture at Ubiquity. He specializes in building new and innovative processes to better manage key client relationships and partnerships, maintain consistent internal and external brand messaging and cultivate the unique company culture that sets Ubiquity apart. Andrew is a passionate advocate for savers and small businesses and is frequently called upon by distinguished members of the media such as The Wall Street Journal, MarketWatch and FoxBusiness.com for his expert insight on these areas. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Appalachian State University.

John Farmakis, Jr., SVP of Business Growth

As SVP of Business Growth at Ubiquity, John Farmakis is directly responsible for driving revenue growth by securing strategic distribution partnerships with firms across the financial services, insurance, advisor and payroll/HCM industries. Throughout his 40+ year career, he has achieved demonstrative success by building and delivering highly successful partnerships and results at such firms as IBM,The Walt Disney Company, ADP Retirement Services and several large recordkeeping organizations. John’s robust experience in the defined contribution marketplace fuels Ubiquity’s growth and ability to support small businesses with low-cost, transparent retirement plan offerings. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Williams College.

Ken Simons, General Manager of Paradigm RKS™

Ken Simons serves as General Manager of Paradigm RKS™, Ubiquity’s proprietary recordkeeping platform. In this role, Ken has developed and deployed Paradigm for use across retirement plan recordkeeping to streamline the process of administering small business 401(k) plans. For over 30 years, Ken has touched all facets of the software development lifecycle and utilized that expertise to create recordkeeping systems for third-party administrators. During his time at SunGard Relius, Ken introduced the first Windows-based platform to the independent recordkeeping market. Ken studied Business Administration at Duquesne University.

Bill Minogue, VP of Operations and Strategic Alliances

As VP of Operations and Strategic Alliances Bill Minogue manages four operational departments. He also is responsible for onboarding external partnerships to bring new and innovative retirement solutions to the small business market. Bill has a proven track record for developing strong teams and processes that are operationally sound and scalable. He has over 35 years of experience in the financial industry, having served in managerial roles with CitiStreet, ING and Ascensus. Bill holds an accounting degree from the Lubin School of Business at Pace University.

Nasrin Mazooji, VP of Compliance and Regulatory Affairs

Nasrin Mazooji joined Ubiquity in 2013 and currently serves as VP of Compliance and Regulatory Affairs. Her expertise in managing the legal, regulatory and governmental complexities of retirement make her a natural fit for this role. She ensures the timely execution and accuracy of many aspects of compliance, contracts and agreements, legal disclosures, risk management, internal and external audits, and corporate governance. She also oversees the strategic planning to keep Ubiquity running smoothly and maximize the company’s impact on the industry. Nasrin holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Lisa Tennyson, VP of Marketing

As Ubiquity’s VP of Marketing, Lisa Tennyson leads demand generation, brand strategy and public relations. From her early career at Walt Disney Studios to her time building healthcare delivery disruptor, One Medical, Lisa has excelled in developing innovative marketing strategies that not only acquire new customers, but build long-lasting, admired brands. Her experience in creative brand building and passion for storytelling have served as key drivers of her marketing success. Lisa holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Boris Chen, VP and Head of Client Experience

As VP and Head of Client Experience at Ubiquity, Boris Chen uses his 20-plus years of expertise to lead high-performing client success teams nationwide and nurture great experiences across the customer lifecycle, from plan setup, onboarding, and training to ongoing customer support. He oversees all aspects of the firm’s client experience department, including systems evaluation and implementation, market research, data analytics, and staffing and professional development. Boris holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Haverford College and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business.

Gina Armstrong-Smith, VP, Financial Controller

As Ubiquity’s VP, Financial Controller, Gina Armstrong-Smith oversees the monthly accounting close process, cash flow and reporting procedures. Additionally, she is a strategic advisor and partner on company initiatives, while also managing and maintaining the financial audit process and banking relationships. Gina has over 30 years of multi-industry experience leading cross-functional teams in analytics, accounting and business growth initiatives. She holds her Bachelor of Science Degree from Saint Mary’s College of California and is a certified public accountant.
