Service Organization Control (SOC) Compliant

Ubiquity Retirement + Savings is proud to announce that we have completed the requirements for a Service Organization Control (SOC) 1, type 2 Audit and Service Organization Control (SOC) 2, type 2 Audit covering our Paradigm Recordkeeping System as well as Ubiquity’s internal controls.

The SOC 1 standard covers internal controls relevant to financial reporting at service organizations. The SOC 2 standard covers internal controls relevant to security, processing integrity, along with confidentiality and privacy of the information processed by the service organization’s systems. Ubiquity’s continued investment in our audit and reporting demonstrates our year over year commitment to ensuring complete and accurate financial accounting, security, and information technology controls over our proprietary Paradigm Recordkeeping platform.

Chad Parks, CEO + Founder

Chad Parks is the Founder and CEO of the first online, web-based, flat-fee retirement plan provider for small businesses in America: The Online 401(k), now known aUbiquity Retirement + Savings. He earned his Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation and left the stock brokering world to start his own financial planning and investment management firm, Retirement & Education Group, Inc., a financial planning practice that assisted individuals and small business owners with their overall financial planning needs. Known for his unique, irreverent approach to business and the financial industry, Chad regularly shares his insights in national publications such as The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, CNN Money, Bloomberg Wealth Manager, Business Week, Entrepreneur, and elsewhere. He is a graduate of Florida International University and holds a Master’s in Finance from Golden Gate University.

Tim Cowart, Chief Financial Officer

As Ubiquity’s CFO, Tim Cowart monitors and evaluates corporate financial strategy with an emphasis on long-term financial and operations planning, capital requirements, and enhancing shareholder value. Tim has 30 years of multi-industry experience leading finance teams, raising equity and debt capital, and performing corporate M&A. His experience includes cofounding a publicly traded European satellite communications company that grew to over $200 million in five years and serving as CFO to numerous venture backed companies in the San Francisco Bay Area. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance & Accounting from Menlo College and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Southern California.

Nasrin Mazooji, Chief Operating Officer

Nasrin Mazooji joined Ubiquity in 2013 and as Chief Operating Officer brings a wealth of expertise in managing the legal, regulatory, and governmental complexities of retirement. She oversees strategic planning to keep Ubiquity running smoothly and maximize the company’s impact on the industry. Previously Ubiquity’s SVP of Compliance and Regulatory Affairs, she also ensures the timely execution and accuracy of many aspects of compliance, contracts and agreements, legal disclosures, risk management, internal and external audits, and corporate governance.

Andrew Meadows, SVP of HR, Brand, + Culture

Andrew Meadows brings over two decades of experience in the retirement savings space to his role as SVP of HR, Brand, + Culture at Ubiquity. He specializes in building new and innovative processes to better manage key client relationships and partnerships, maintain consistent internal and external brand messaging and cultivate the unique company culture that sets Ubiquity apart. Andrew is a passionate advocate for savers and small businesses and is frequently called upon by distinguished members of the media such as The Wall Street Journal, MarketWatch, and FoxBusiness.com for his expert insight on these areas. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Science from Appalachian State University.

John Farmakis, Jr., SVP of Business Development

As SVP of Business Development at Ubiquity, John Farmakis is directly responsible for driving revenue growth by securing strategic distribution partnerships with firms across the financial services, insurance, advisor and payroll/HCM industries. Throughout his 40+ year career, he has achieved demonstrative success by building and delivering highly successful partnerships and results at such firms as IBM,The Walt Disney Company, ADP Retirement Services, and several large recordkeeping organizations. John’s robust experience in the defined contribution marketplace fuels Ubiquity’s growth and ability to support small businesses with low-cost, transparent retirement plan offerings. He holds a Bachelor of Science from Williams College.

Bill Minogue, VP of Operations and Strategic Alliances

As VP of Operations and Strategic Alliances, Bill Minogue manages four operational departments. He also is responsible for onboarding external partnerships to bring new and innovative retirement solutions to the small business market. Bill has a proven track record for developing strong teams and processes that are operationally sound and scalable. He has over 35 years of experience in the financial industry, having served in managerial roles with CitiStreet, ING, and Ascensus. Bill holds an accounting degree from the Lubin School of Business at Pace University.

Anthony Ginn, SVP, Head of Marketing

Anthony Ginn serves Ubiquity as the Senior Vice President and Head of Marketing where he is dedicated to driving digital transformation, innovation, and best-in-class customer experiences. With over 20 years of experience across acquisition and retention marketing, Anthony’s impact on clients and business growth is influenced by his commitment to collaboration and team building. He is a leader in matrixed organizations with top rankings in employee Gallop and Korn Ferry/Hay Group surveys. His history at E*TRADE, H&R Block, and Transamerica serves him well as he evolves Ubiquity’s brand and messaging. He is a proud Bears fan, having graduated from the University of California at Berkeley. 

Michael Bissett, VP, Business Growth

For more than 6 years, Mike has served Ubiquity in the areas of Business Growth and Sales, bringing his extensive experience in sales and relationship management as well as his 20+ year history of working in the financial services and retirement industries for firms such as Fidelity, DST Retirement Solutions, and others. He is currently a member of Schwab’s Trust and Custody Advisory Board. A forward-thinking, strategic planner, he is focused on revenue growth and bottom-line development. Mike studied Business Administration at Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy, MA and lives in the greater Boston area.
